ATD Mid-NJ Chapter

Proposal for Presenting a Chapter Program

ATD Mid-NJ will review your proposal, and select those presentations that are most relevant, current, and compelling to our membership and of strategic value to the association.  Presentations that address current ATD Mid-NJ / industry topics and are highly interactive with the audience are preferred.

Presentations are the cornerstone of our meetings. The most common formats include the following, but not limited to:

  • Case study presentation and interactive discussion
  • Hands-on workshop for participants to practice and apply skills
  • Panel discussion
  • Web demonstration

Information for All Presenters

The primary purpose of meeting presentations is to educate and enlighten our constituency, who represent all segments of the workplace learning and performance community. Members include trainers, organizational development practitioners, human resource professionals, instructional designers, various managers and executives, technology vendors, and internal and external consultants.

As a service to you and our constituency, we prefer to post your presentation (e.g. video, PowerPoint presentation, etc.) and resources (e.g. handouts, sample job aids, etc.) on our website after the session. Recording your presentation is acceptable with prior approval.

We are honored that you wish to share your knowledge with us and in return, your name and organization is marketed to over 3000 names at least three times prior to your session. Therefore, as policy, we do not reimburse presenters for expenses or provide honoraria. Meeting registration, which includes a light meal, is complimentary. Guests of presenters are expected to pay the meeting fee, if a fee applies.

Guidance for Consultant Presenters

Our preference is for you to present with your client to showcase your successes. We do not allow products or services to be sold during your presentation, which should focus on concepts, techniques, and best practices. Presenters are not permitted to solicit member contact information directly. However, presenters are permitted to obtain contact information by means of a business card raffle of books, products, or other give-aways, as long as members are advised that their contact information may be used by you for marketing purposes.
