While some employees are disengaged due to fear of reprimand or their beliefs their input will be ignored, other employees are indecisive due to FOMO – Fear of Missing Out, but the results for teamwork are identical: lack of participation in discussion and decision making.  This session will explore the use of several psychological theories (i.e., Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Job Characteristics Model {Hackman and Oldham} and results of Google’s Project Aristotle) to develop methods that have been used to increase engagement of disengaged employees.
