Human resources professionals often face challenges measuring the ROI of talent development programs. Organizational investments into tech platforms, training programs, and executive coaching often deliver value that HR professionals struggle with identifying. The present program will show attendees how to measure the return on investment of talent development programs. Session attendees will learn how to identify appropriate criteria for talent development program outcomes. Then using those criteria how they can tell the story of their talent development programs’ effectiveness.
Learning Objectives:
Dr. Sy Islam has over 10 years of experience in a variety of corporate, academic, and applied settings. He is a co-founder and a Vice President of Consulting with Talent Metrics and an Associate Professor of Industrial Organizational psychology at Farmingdale State College. Dr. Islam won the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology’s Scientist-Practitioner Presidential Recognition Award for his focus on science driven practices in training and talent development and won the Farmingdale State College Center for Technology, Learning, and Teaching’s Faculty Mentorship award. Through Talent Metrics he has consulted with fortune 100 companies like IBM and sports teams like the Florida Panthers. His research has been published in “Learning and Individual Differences” and the “Journal of Management and Innovation”. His book co-authored with Dr. Gordon Schmidt “Leaders Assemble! Leadership in the Marvel Cinematic Universe” will be published in 2022.
