As the global community continues to grapple with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its far-reaching implications, I am writing to update you about measures the Mid NJ ATD is taking to protect the health of our organizers and community that attends our events.
We have been gathering information, best practices, and advice regarding how we can best react to how the novel coronavirus COVID-19 is impacting our daily lives, both personal and professional.
As we continue to monitor developments regarding the coronavirus, Mid NJ ATD recognizes that some of our members may be negatively affected by impacts of this global outbreak. As always, our focus is the safety and well-being of our members and the communities we serve, and our thoughts are with those who have been impacted. To that end, we stand ready to work with those experiencing difficulty as a result, and we are taking the necessary steps to avoid potential disruptions of offerings to our members.
Further, out of an abundance of caution, and as part of our ongoing efforts to protect the health of our members from the potential impacts of the coronavirus, here is our new approach to events effective tomorrow, Friday, March 13, through the end of April.
Events/meeting
Effective Friday, March 13, the Mid NJ ATD will suspend all in-person, widely attended public events through the end of April. We will review this policy regularly, and communicate any changes.
Our teams are reviewing all upcoming events to determine which can be convened virtually and are working to innovate and develop engaging formats that will not only be livestreamed but made interactive with online audiences.
While it is impossible for anyone to predict the spread of the coronavirus and fully understand its impact, it does not alter Mid NJ ATD’s focus on continuing to serve you. We have the people & technology to do just that.
