Developing 21st Century Sales Leaders is the theme of this year's second annual Mid New Jersey ASTD Sales Learning and Development Showcase.  Save this date, June 7, for this exciting event -- and the ASTD Sales Coaching Certificate workshop that follows on June 8th-9th, also at the Bridgewater Marriott.

This event includes a dinner buffet in the registration fee.

Speakers include: Benson Smith, Chairman and CEO of Teleflex Incorporated, and co-author of Gallup’s “Discover Your Sales Strengths”.  Also Tim Ohai, co-author of ASTD’s “World Class Selling: New Sales Competencies” and founder of Growth and Associates.  Panelists to be announced.

Benson Smith is the Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of Teleflex Incorporated, a $2 billion medical technology company.  Prior to joining Teleflex in January 2011, Mr. Smith was the Managing Partner of Sales Research Group and served on the boards of Rochester Medical Corporation, Solace Therapeutics and Zoll Medical.  He was speaker at the Gallup Organization from 2000 to 2006, when he authored the book, Discover Your Sales Strengths.  He served as President and COO of C.R. Bard from 1994-1998, after a successful career that began as a Bard medical device sales representative.

Tim Ohai is founder and president of Growth & Associates, a consulting association that focuses on the people dynamics of change, both organizationally and personally. Growth & Associates has created fit-for-purpose solutions for companies in a variety of industries, including ASTD, Shell Oil, and Wal-Mart. With more than a decade of learning and development experience, Tim brings a rare combination of high energy and real-life savvy to consult on large, complex strategic issues, especially around the topics of key customer strategies, alignment, and organizational change. Tim’s areas of expertise include sales performance, executive coaching, and developing the talent pipeline for emerging generations, but he also consults on key customer strategies, alignment, and organizational change. Tim has been recognized as a global coaching and sales expert, and his expertise has taken him to Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
