Mr. Capaldi will share from experience, the use of social media platforms including Twitter, Yammer, and others as tools of practice at Sanofi, as well as at The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).

Ms. Baker will share lessons learned by her organization over the past seven years of building and managing CoPs.

SPEAKER BIO
Mike Capaldi is Associate Vice President, Civic Action & Social Networking for Sanofi-aventis US. Mike is based in the Bridgewater, NJ U.S. headquarters and is in his 16th year with the organization.
He is responsible for encouraging civic action and employee engagement throughout the organization. This includes leading the grassroots platform, employee political action committees and other civic action programs. Mike also collaborates with appropriate trade associations and external stakeholders for important industry issues.
He is also leading an emerging effort to channel the power of social media to champion key issues as it has become an increasingly influential medium. He is active on many social channels such as Twitter. (@mikecapaldi)
Mike’s experiences include work in Corporate Social Responsibility and Training & Development for 12 years where he was responsible for the T&D of nearly 10,000 field and headquarter-based employees. Mike served as President of the Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers in 2010-11. In 2007, he earned a Masters of Education in Corporate Training & Knowledge Management from Jones International University.
