  As the workplace continues to evolve, one thing remains clear: training and talent development professionals must show that their programs deliver results. In a time of tighter budgets, dispersed teams, and rising expectations, demonstrating impact and ROI is no longer a nice-to-have- it’s a necessity. Stakeholders want more than participation numbers and positive feedback, they want evidence of learning, behavior change, business impact, and even ROI.  This session will help you shift your thinking about results. You’ll learn how to apply ROI thinking, starting with the question Why?, to ensure your programs are designed with purpose and aligned to organizational goals. From setting clear objectives to identifying success measures, collecting data, and communicating impact, this session offers a practical roadmap for measuring what matters.   Patti P. Phillips, Ph.D | Co-Founder and CEO of ROI Institute, Inc. Patti P. Phillips, Ph.D., is the co-founder and CEO of ROI Institute, Inc., a United States-based consulting firm that serves for-profit, not-for-profit, government, and non-governmental organizations in 70 countries as they build capability in measurement, evaluation, and human capital analytics using the ROI Methodology®. An internationally recognized leader in measurement and analytics, Patti is routinely invited to speak at conferences worldwide and contributes to the growing amount of research in human capital and human capital analytics. Her expertise is documented in over 50 books, published in more than a dozen business journals, and cited on CNBC, Euronews, and National Geographic. She is a thought partner to organizations such as The Conference Board, Institute for Corporate Productivity, and Cognota. Patti, along with her business partner and husband, Jack Phillips, received the 2024 Thought Leader Award from the Association of Learning Providers (ISA), the 2022 Association for Talent Development (ATD) Thought Leader Award, and the 2019 Center for Talent Reporting Distinguished Contributor Award. In 2019, she was named among the top fifty coaches globally by the Thinkers50 organization and named a finalist for the Marshall Goldsmith Distinguished Achievement Award for Coaching. Patti served as the vice chair and finance committee member of the United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR) board of trustees. She is currently chair of the UNITAR Evaluation Board and the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO). How Individual and Team Agency Enhance Organization Performance The workforce and workplace have changed dramatically, but a core need is often missing—individual and team agency. Join us to discuss this game-changing concept; explore how unleashing it can enhance job satisfaction, retention, effectiveness, and organization performance; and learn practical actions to foster and exercise agency at every level. Participants will leave this session able to: Understand how individual & team agency enhances organization performance and more fully exercise their own agency Demonstrate and role-model the mindsets and behaviors that create an agency-rich environment for everyone Apply the self assessment tool to measure the agency individuals exercise and uncover and clear barriers that block agency. Our presentation will cover: What agency is (and is not—dispelling misconceptions, confusion, and myths is important for creating sustainable behavior and mindset change) Why individual and team agency has such powerful and wide-reaching effects on everything from innovation to retention Actions organizations, leaders, supervisors, teams, and individuals can take to step more fully into their own agency and create an environment where the exercise of agency is supported, expected, and celebrated Dialogue with others to gain new perspectives Individual self-assessment instrument and organization diagnosis of agency practices and individual action planning as a result of that assessment This presentation is designed for people in any role and at any level.
